Instagram Introduce Photo Maps

The popular photo sharing application, Instagram, has added a new Photo Maps feature. Instagram's new Photo Maps allow users to browse their photos and their friends' photos on a Google Map.

Instgram automatically geo-tags photographs when they are taken and therefore Instagram has added some simple but useful privacy tools to the new Photo Map feature. When users navigate to Photo Map for the first time, they are prompted to review photos previously uploaded with geolocation turned on. Users can then easily deselect any photos that they don't want to appear on their map.

To open a Photo Map you need to navigate to your profile, then tap Photo Map. From there you can explore your geo-tagged photos. You can zoom in and out on the map, view photos in a grid, or view stacks of photos taken at the same location.
