A Map to Get Lost By

Maps for Getting Lost is a clever generative and transitory map, created by Olivia Jack. Search for a location on Maps for Getting Lost and you are presented with a street map of the location. However the map quickly fades away leaving you lost on a blank page.

If you mouse-over the map the streets will reappear momentarily beneath your mouse, only to slowly fade to black again. The street data comes from OpenStreetMap. Mouse clicks on the map generate particles that connect the OpenStreetMap nodes at random. This briefly gives you a glimpse of the map, before the streets fades away and leave you lost once again.
